ABOUT ELIN

It's a little bit of a passion to watch and train dog breeds with instincts. To see the behaviors they are bred and born to have, and how the behaviors become the purpose of their life. It's truly the beauty of it all. When the right reactions of the instinct become the reward.

I have always had the ambition to train and compete. The purpose has always been bigger, to set up goals, to achieve accomplishments and to evaluate results, both in riding horses and owning dogs. In 2018 I got in touch with the working Labrador Retriever for the first time through a very kind local breeder, and I was mesmerized by the breed, the will to please, and the ability to be directed if needed, and finding game. A couple of years passed by, and I went from owning sheep and spending all of my free time on sheepdog herding with Border Collies- to gundog life, and I became hooked for life. The idea of owning my own gun, shooting above my own dog, and bringing my own meals to the table soon became a very big dream.

The desire for breeding emerged at a very young age. I believe I was 12 years old when I started to dive into books about breeding. But I didn't have a clue which breed. Now, that I've found my breed, I have big hopes for 2025 to bring me to the dog I truly believe in. That will hopefully set the foundation for Bramblemoor Gundogs breeding lines.

I live in the countryside of Stockholm, Sweden. Currently working as an emergency veterinarian nurse at an animal hospital for four and a half years. It's a very educational and fulfilling role, and I'm very interested in veterinary medicine. I also freelance as a photographer. In between gundog life, I spend a lot of time with my friends and family.
